Cocktail Sauce

Method

Shrimp

  1. 1

    Prepare the Shrimp

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt and 1 tablespoon of Old Bay seasoning to the boiling water.

  2. 2

    Cook the Shrimp

Add the shrimp to the boiling water and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Be careful not to overcook them.

  3. 3

    Chill the Shrimp

Remove the shrimp from the pot and immediately transfer them to an ice bath to stop the cooking process. Let them cool for 5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Prepare for Serving

Once cooled, peel and devein the shrimp, leaving the tails on for presentation. Cut the lemon into wedges for garnish.

Cocktail Sauce

  1. 5

    Mix the Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 2 tablespoons of capers, 2 minced garlic cloves, 1 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of black pepper.

  2. 6

    Whisk Together

Use a whisk or spoon to mix all the ingredients until well combined. Adjust seasoning to taste if needed.

  3. 7

    Chill the Sauce

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the cocktail sauce for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
