Method
Pasta Preparation
- 1
Cook the Fettuccine
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain the pasta and set aside.
Chicken Preparation
- 2
Cook the Chicken
Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). Remove from the skillet and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Alfredo Sauce Preparation
- 3
Make the Alfredo Sauce
In the same skillet used for the chicken, add butter and allow it to melt over medium heat. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until smooth. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Allow the sauce to thicken for about 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently.
Combining Ingredients
- 4
Combine Pasta, Chicken, and Sauce
Add the drained fettuccine pasta to the Alfredo sauce and toss to coat the pasta evenly. Slice the cooked chicken and arrange on top of the pasta. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
