Method
Omelette Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Ingredients
Gather all ingredients and dice the ham, bell peppers, and chop the green onions.
- 2
Whisk the Eggs
In a mixing bowl, crack the eggs and whisk them well. Add salt and black pepper to taste.
- 3
Cook the Vegetables
In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add the diced bell peppers and cook until tender, about 3-4 minutes. Add the chopped green onions and cook for an additional minute. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- 4
Cook the Omelette
In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of butter and pour in the whisked eggs. Allow the eggs to cook undisturbed for about 2 minutes, or until the edges begin to set.
- 5
Add Fillings
Once the edges are set, sprinkle the cooked ham, sautéed bell peppers, green onions, and shredded Smoked Gouda cheese evenly over one half of the omelette.
- 6
Fold and Finish
Carefully fold the other half of the omelette over the fillings. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted and the eggs are fully cooked.
- 7
Serve
Slide the omelette onto a plate and serve hot with your choice of hash browns or country potatoes and toast.
