Method

Waffle Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Waffle Batter

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. In another bowl, mix the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.

  2. 2

    Cook the Waffles

Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions. Pour the appropriate amount of batter into the preheated waffle iron and cook until golden brown and crispy. Repeat with remaining batter.

Hash Browns or Country Potatoes

  1. 3

    Prepare the Potatoes

If making hash browns, shred the peeled potatoes. For country potatoes, dice them into small cubes. Rinse under cold water and drain well.

  2. 4

    Cook the Potatoes

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the onions and cook until translucent. Add the potatoes, season with salt and pepper, and cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until crispy and golden brown.

Cooking the Meat

  1. 5

    Cook the Meat

Cook the bacon, sausage, or ham in a skillet or on a grill until fully cooked and crisp. Keep warm until serving.
