Crispy Broccoli Ingredients
Method
Crispy Broccoli Directions
- 1
Prepare the Broccoli
Wash and cut the broccoli into bite-sized florets. Set aside.
- 2
Make the Beer Batter
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, beer, salt, and black pepper until smooth. The batter should be thick enough to coat the broccoli.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 4
Batter the Broccoli
Dip each broccoli floret into the beer batter, making sure it is well coated.
- 5
Fry the Broccoli
Carefully place the battered broccoli florets into the hot oil, frying them in batches until they are golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per batch. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- 6
Prepare the Beet Peppercorn Dressing
In a small bowl, mix together the beet juice, crushed peppercorns, honey, and apple cider vinegar until well combined.
- 7
Serve
Plate the crispy broccoli and drizzle with the beet peppercorn dressing. Sprinkle grated Parmigiano-Reggiano on top and serve immediately.
