Method

Prepare the Crust

  1. 1

    Mix Crust Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Press into Pan

Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes. Remove and let cool.

Prepare the Filling

  1. 3

    Beat Cream Cheese

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.

  2. 4

    Add Sugar and Sour Cream

Gradually add granulated sugar and sour cream, mixing until fully incorporated. Scrape the sides of the bowl as needed.

  3. 5

    Incorporate Eggs

Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract and flour until just combined.

Bake the Cheesecake

  1. 6

    Pour Filling into Crust

Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cooled crust in the springform pan.

  2. 7

    Bake

Bake in the oven at 325°F (160°C) for 1 hour, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.

  3. 8

    Cool and Chill

Turn off the oven, crack the door open, and let the cheesecake cool for 1 hour. Then refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

Prepare the Whipped Cream

  1. 9

    Whip Cream

In a mixing bowl, beat heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.

Serve

  1. 10

    Garnish and Serve

Slice the chilled cheesecake, top with whipped cream, and add your choice of daily accoutrements such as fresh fruit or sauces.
