Method
Making Ice Cream

Prepare the Ice Cream Base
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until the sugar dissolves.

Chill the Mixture
Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until completely chilled.

Churn the Ice Cream
Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.

Freeze the Ice Cream
Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
Making Sorbet

Prepare the Sorbet Base
In a saucepan, combine the fruit puree, granulated sugar, water, and lemon juice. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.

Remove from heat and let it cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled.

Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until smooth and fluffy.
