Pasta & Seafood

Sauce & Seasoning

Method

Cooking the Pasta

  1. 1

    Cook the Bucatini

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the bucatini pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water.

Preparing the Seafood

  1. 2

    Prepare the Lobster and Shrimp

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 1/2 cup of butter. Add the lobster tails (cut in half) and shrimp. Cook until the shrimp are pink and the lobster is opaque, about 4-5 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Making the Sauce

  1. 3

    Create Lemon Butter Sauce

In the same skillet, add the remaining 1/2 cup of butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, and halved cherry tomatoes. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until tomatoes soften.

Combining Ingredients

  1. 4

    Combine Pasta and Seafood

Add the cooked bucatini, lobster, and shrimp to the skillet. Toss everything together, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a silky sauce. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Serving

  1. 5

    Serve the Dish

Remove from heat and stir in fresh parsley and basil. Serve immediately, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and alongside grilled bread.
