Wings

Method

Prepare the Wings

  1. 1

    Marinate the Chicken

In a large bowl, combine boneless chicken wings with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Mix well to ensure that all the wings are evenly coated. Cover the bowl and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In one bowl, mix together all-purpose flour and cornstarch. In another bowl, whisk together eggs and milk until well combined.

Fry the Wings

  1. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a deep frying pan or pot, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  2. 4

    Bread the Wings

Take each marinated chicken wing, dip it into the egg and milk mixture, then coat it in the flour and cornstarch mixture. Shake off any excess.

  3. 5

    Fry the Wings

Carefully place the breaded wings into the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove the wings and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.

Prepare the Spicy BBQ Sauce

  1. 6

    Make the Sauce

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Stir well and bring the mixture to a simmer. Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened.

Toss and Serve

  1. 7

    Coat the Wings

In a large bowl, add the fried wings and pour the Spicy BBQ sauce over them. Toss until the wings are thoroughly coated.

  2. 8

    Serve

Serve the wings hot with your choice of dipping sauces or sides.
