Method

Preparation of Shrimp

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and diced jalapeños. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Stuff the Shrimp

Take each shrimp and spoon a small amount of the cream cheese mixture into the center. Wrap each shrimp with a half slice of bacon, securing it with a toothpick if necessary.

  3. 3

    Cook the Shrimp

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the bacon-wrapped shrimp. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until the bacon is crispy and the shrimp are cooked through.

  4. 4

    Glaze the Shrimp

Once the shrimp are cooked, drizzle the sweet chili sauce over them and toss gently to coat. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to allow the sauce to heat up.

Preparation of Cheddar Grits

  1. 5

    Boil Water

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Stir in the salt.

  2. 6

    Cook the Grits

Slowly add the grits to the boiling water, stirring constantly. Reduce the heat to low and cover. Cook for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the grits are thick.

  3. 7

    Add Milk and Cheese

Once the grits are cooked, stir in the milk, butter, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until the cheese is melted and the mixture is creamy. Season with black pepper to taste.
