Method

Preparing the Seared Ahi Tuna

  1. 1

    Season the Tuna

Season both sides of the ahi tuna steaks with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Heat the Pan

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

  3. 3

    Sear the Tuna

Add the tuna steaks to the skillet and sear for about 1-2 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness. Remove from heat and allow to rest.

Making the Sweet Chili Glaze

  1. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a small saucepan, combine sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, and lime juice.

  2. 5

    Heat the Glaze

Heat over medium heat until it simmers, then remove from heat and set aside.

Preparing the Sriracha Aioli

  1. 6

    Mix the Aioli

In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, sriracha sauce, and lime juice. Mix until well combined.

Assembling the Bowl

  1. 7

    Prepare the Ingredients

Dice the avocado and mango. If using fresh carrots, julienne or grate them. Ensure edamame is cooked and shelled.

  2. 8

    Assemble the Bowl

In each bowl, place a portion of cooked rice as the base. Top with sliced seared tuna, diced avocado, mango salsa, grated carrots, and edamame.

  3. 9

    Add Sauces

Drizzle the sweet chili glaze over the tuna and add a dollop of sriracha aioli on the side.
