Burger Ingredients

Caramelized Onions

Waffle Fries

Method

Caramelized Onions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Onions

Slice the yellow onions into thin rings and set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Onions

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 20-25 minutes until the onions are deep golden brown and caramelized. Remove from heat and set aside.

Turkey Burgers

  1. 3

    Form the Patties

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey with salt and pepper to taste. Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the turkey patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). During the last minute of cooking, top each patty with a slice of Havarti cheese and cover until melted.

  3. 5

    Assemble the Burgers

Spread garlic aioli on the bottom half of each wheat bun. Place a turkey patty on each bun, then top with caramelized onions, a spoonful of pepper jelly, fresh spring mix, and sliced tomato. Finally, place the top half of the bun on each burger.

Waffle Fries

  1. 6

    Prepare the Fries

Preheat the oven according to the instructions on the waffle fries package. Spread the frozen waffle fries in a single layer on a baking sheet.

  2. 7

    Bake the Fries

Bake the fries according to package directions, typically about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Serve alongside the burgers.
