Prepare the Patties
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until well combined, then divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties.

Add Cheese
After flipping, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.

Toast the Buns
While the patties are cooking, split the burger buns and toast them on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

Assemble the Burgers
On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese, tomato slices, onion slices, and pickles. Top with ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise as desired. Finish with the top half of the bun.

Heat the Oil
In a deep pot or fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Make sure there is enough oil to fully submerge the fries.

Fry the Waffle Fries
Carefully place the cut waffle fries into the hot oil in batches. Fry for 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

Serve the waffle fries alongside the cheeseburgers for a delicious meal.
