Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Tuna

Pat the Ahi tuna dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

  2. 2

    Sear the Tuna

Heat a non-stick skillet over high heat and add a small amount of oil. Once hot, add the Ahi tuna and sear for about 1-2 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Vegetables

Chop the mixed greens, shred the cabbage, dice the avocado, and slice the red onions, bell peppers, and jalapeños. Julienne the carrots.

  4. 4

    Cook Edamame

If using frozen edamame, cook according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Create the Salad Base

In a large bowl, combine mixed greens, cabbage, edamame, carrots, red onions, bell peppers, and jalapeños. Toss gently to mix.

  2. 6

    Add the Tuna

Slice the seared Ahi tuna into thin strips and place on top of the salad base.

  3. 7

    Drizzle with Sauces

Drizzle sweet chili glaze and Asian sesame vinaigrette over the salad. Add tortilla strips for crunch.

  4. 8

    Serve

Top with diced avocado and serve immediately.
