Shrimp Preparation

Method

Shrimp Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and chopped pickled jalapeños. Mix well until fully combined.

  2. 2

    Stuff the Shrimp

Using a small spoon, carefully stuff each jumbo shrimp with the cream cheese mixture. Ensure the shrimp are filled but not overflowing.

  3. 3

    Wrap in Bacon

Wrap each stuffed shrimp with a slice of bacon, securing the ends with a toothpick if necessary.

Glaze Preparation

  1. 4

    Make the Sweet Chili Glaze

In a small saucepan, combine the sweet chili sauce, fresh lime juice, garlic powder, and ground black pepper. Heat over medium heat until the sauce is warm, stirring occasionally.

Grilling

  1. 5

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

  2. 6

    Grill the Shrimp

Place the bacon-wrapped shrimp on the grill. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bacon is crispy and the shrimp are cooked through.

  3. 7

    Glaze the Shrimp

During the last minute of grilling, brush the sweet chili glaze over the shrimp, coating them generously.

Serving

  1. 8

    Serve the Voodoo Shrimp

Remove the shrimp from the grill and let them rest for a minute. Serve warm, drizzled with any remaining glaze and garnish if desired.
