Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Press the Tofu

Wrap the firm tofu in a clean kitchen towel or paper towels and place a heavy object on top to press out excess moisture for about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 2

    Chop the Vegetables

While the tofu is being pressed, chop the bell pepper and carrot into thin strips and break the broccoli into small florets.

  3. 3

    Prepare Aromatics

Mince the garlic and grate the ginger.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Cut and Marinate the Tofu

After pressing, cut the tofu into cubes and marinate it in soy sauce for about 10 minutes.

  2. 5

    Heat Oil in a Pan

In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

  3. 6

    Cook Tofu

Add the marinated tofu cubes to the skillet and cook until golden brown on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove and set aside.

  4. 7

    Stir-Fry Vegetables

In the same skillet, add the garlic and ginger, sauté for 1 minute, then add the bell pepper, carrot, and broccoli. Stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes or until vegetables are tender-crisp.

  5. 8

    Combine Tofu and Vegetables

Return the cooked tofu to the skillet, add salt, black pepper, and sesame oil. Stir well to combine and heat through for another 2-3 minutes.
