Method

Preparation of Ribeye

  1. 1

    Season the Ribeye

Coat the ribeye steak evenly with blackening seasoning on both sides. Allow it to sit for about 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.

  2. 2

    Cook the Ribeye

Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat and add a tablespoon of oil. Once hot, add the seasoned ribeye steak and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from heat and let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly.

Caramelizing Onions

  1. 3

    Slice and Cook the Onions

Thinly slice the medium onions. In the same skillet used for the ribeye, add a bit more oil if needed and reduce the heat to medium. Add the sliced onions and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 15-20 minutes until they are soft and caramelized. Season with salt to taste.

Assembling the Sliders

  1. 4

    Prepare the Buns

Toast the brioche buns lightly on the skillet or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 5

    Build the Sliders

Spread 1 tablespoon of garlic aioli on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Layer with sliced ribeye, a slice of Swiss cheese, and a generous portion of caramelized onions. Top with a teaspoon of dijon horseradish before placing the top half of the bun.

Cooking the Fries

  1. 6

    Prepare the Waffle Fries

Cook the waffle fries according to package instructions, either in the oven or fryer, until crispy and golden brown.
