Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Turkey Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until well incorporated. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Cook the turkey patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). Place a slice of Havarti cheese on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking to allow it to melt.

Onion Preparation

  1. 3

    Caramelize the Onions

While the patties are cooking, slice the large onion thinly. Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium-low heat. Add the sliced onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until they are golden brown and caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.

Fries Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare the Waffle Fries

Preheat the oven according to package instructions. Spread the frozen waffle fries on a baking sheet and sprinkle with salt. Bake as per the package instructions until crispy and golden.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Assemble the Burgers

Toast the wheat burger buns on the grill or in a toaster. Spread garlic aioli on the bottom bun. Place the cooked turkey patty with melted Havarti on top, followed by caramelized onions, a spoonful of pepper jelly, a handful of spring mix, and slices of fresh tomato. Top with the other half of the bun.
