Method

Chicken Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

In a large bowl, combine the buttermilk, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Add the chicken breasts to the mixture, ensuring they're fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

  2. 2

    Dredge the Chicken

After marinating, remove the chicken from the buttermilk mixture and let excess drip off. In a separate bowl, add the flour and season with salt and pepper. Dredge each chicken breast in the flour mixture, ensuring an even coating.

  3. 3

    Fry the Chicken

In a deep skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the chicken breasts and fry for about 5-7 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Buffalo Sauce

  1. 4

    Make the Buffalo Sauce

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, add the hot sauce and stir until combined. Remove from heat.

  2. 5

    Coat the Chicken

Once the chicken has drained, toss it in the buffalo sauce until evenly coated.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Prepare the Toppings

Wash and shred the romaine lettuce. Slice the tomato into thin rounds.

  2. 7

    Assemble the Sandwich

On the bottom half of each brioche bun, place a generous amount of ranch dressing. Layer with buffalo chicken, shredded lettuce, and tomato slices. Top with the other half of the bun.

Waffle Fries

  1. 8

    Cook the Waffle Fries

Prepare the frozen waffle fries according to package instructions, typically baking or frying until golden and crispy.
