Method

Shrimp Marinade Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Shrimp

In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, Cajun seasoning, and hot sauce. Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the marinade and toss to coat evenly. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Voodoo Sauce Preparation

  1. 2

    Make the Voodoo Sauce

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, honey, cayenne pepper, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and set aside.

Cooking the Shrimp

  1. 3

    Cook the Shrimp

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Do not overcrowd the skillet; you may need to do this in batches.

Combining and Serving

  1. 4

    Combine and Serve

Once the shrimp are cooked, pour the Voodoo sauce over the shrimp in the skillet. Toss to coat the shrimp thoroughly in the sauce. Serve over cooked rice or pasta, garnished with chopped parsley and lemon wedges on the side.
