Ahi Tuna

Sweet Chili Glaze

Method

Preparing Ahi Tuna

1

Season the Tuna

Rub the ahi tuna steaks with olive oil, and season with salt and black pepper on both sides.

2

Sear the Tuna

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned tuna steaks and sear for about 1-2 minutes on each side, or until the outer edges are browned but the center remains rare. Remove from heat and let rest.

Making Sweet Chili Glaze

3

Combine Ingredients

In a small bowl, mix together the sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, and lime juice until well combined.

4

Add Glaze to Tuna

Once the tuna has rested, drizzle the sweet chili glaze over the seared tuna steaks.

Preparing Sriracha Aioli

5

Mix the Aioli

In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, sriracha sauce, minced garlic, and lemon juice. Whisk until smooth and set aside.

Assembling the Bowls

6

Prepare Rice Base

In serving bowls, add a base of cooked rice.

7

Add Tuna and Vegetables

Slice the seared ahi tuna and place it on top of the rice. Arrange the sliced avocado, diced mango, julienned carrots, and shelled edamame around the tuna.

8

Drizzle Aioli

Drizzle the prepared sriracha aioli over the assembled bowls.

9

Serve

Serve immediately and enjoy your mango tuna bowls!
