Fish Marinade

Method

Fish Marinade Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a medium bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Fish

Add the redfish fillets to the marinade, ensuring each fillet is well coated. Cover the bowl and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Cooking the Fish

  1. 3

    Heat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. If using a skillet, add a little olive oil to prevent sticking.

  2. 4

    Cook the Redfish

Remove the fillets from the marinade and place them on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until the fish is cooked through and has a nice blackened crust.

Taco Assembly

  1. 5

    Warm the Tortillas

While the fish is cooking, warm the corn tortillas on a separate skillet or grill for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.

  2. 6

    Assemble the Tacos

To assemble, place a few pieces of blackened redfish in the center of each tortilla. Top with shredded cabbage, sliced avocado, and chopped cilantro.

  3. 7

    Serve

Add a dollop of sour cream or Greek yogurt, squeeze fresh lime juice over the top, and serve immediately.
