Preparation

  1. 1

    Harvesting

Begin by harvesting the live Artemia from a brine shrimp culture tank. Ensure you have the appropriate net or sieve to catch them effectively.

  2. 2

    Washing

Once harvested, rinse the Artemia in freshwater to remove any excess salt and debris. Use a fine mesh strainer to prevent loss of the shrimp.

  3. 3

    Storage

Store the washed Artemia in a container filled with fresh or saltwater (depending on the desired salinity). Keep them aerated to maintain their health.

  4. 4

    Feeding

If you plan to keep the Artemia for longer, consider feeding them with microalgae or special Artemia food to boost their biomass.
