Waffle Fries
Method
Chicken Tenders Preparation
- 1
Marinate Chicken
In a bowl, combine the buttermilk, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and black pepper. Add the chicken breasts, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
- 2
Prepare Coating
In a separate bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour and cornstarch. This will be used to coat the chicken.
- 3
Heat Oil
In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 4
Coat and Fry Chicken
Remove the marinated chicken from the buttermilk. Dredge each piece in the flour-cornstarch mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated. Carefully place the chicken into the hot oil and fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
Waffle Fries Preparation
- 5
Cook Waffle Fries
Prepare the frozen waffle fries according to the package instructions, either by baking or frying until crispy and golden.
- 6
Season Fries
Once cooked, remove the fries from the oven or fryer and sprinkle with salt to taste.
