Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribeye

Season both sides of the ribeye steak with Cajun seasoning, ensuring an even coating.

  2. 2

    Heat the Pan

In a cast-iron skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until it begins to shimmer.

  3. 3

    Cook the Steak

Add the ribeye steak to the skillet and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting time for desired doneness.

Garlic Butter Preparation

  1. 4

    Melt the Butter

In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat.

  2. 5

    Add Garlic and Parsley

Add minced garlic cloves and chopped parsley to the melted butter. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  3. 6

    Finish with Lemon Juice

Stir in lemon juice and remove from heat. Set aside to use over the steak.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Preparation

  1. 7

    Boil the Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes into quarters. Boil them in salted water for about 15-20 minutes or until tender.

  2. 8

    Cook Garlic

In the last 5 minutes of boiling, add the garlic cloves to the pot with the potatoes.

  3. 9

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and garlic, then return to the pot. Add milk, butter, salt, and pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Broccoli Preparation

  1. 10

    Prepare the Broccoli

In a pot of boiling water, blanch the broccoli florets for 2-3 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and rinse with cold water.

  2. 11

    Sauté the Broccoli

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the blanched broccoli and season with salt. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
