Method

Base Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare Baking Pan

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan with butter or cooking spray.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

  3. 3

    Cream Butter and Sugar

In another bowl, cream the unsalted butter until smooth. Gradually add in the granulated sugar and beat until light and fluffy.

  4. 4

    Combine Wet Ingredients

Add the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.

  5. 5

    Combine Mixtures

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.

Filling Preparation

    Prepare Filling

In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, chopped nuts, and chocolate chips.

Assembly and Baking

  1. 7

    Layer the Mixture

Spread half of the batter into the prepared baking pan. Evenly sprinkle the filling mixture over the batter.

  2. 8

    Add Remaining Batter

Top with the remaining batter, spreading it gently to cover the filling.

  3. 9

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Topping Preparation

In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk until smooth.

  2. 11

    Drizzle Glaze
