Method

Preparation of Patties

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef

In a mixing bowl, combine the Certified Angus Beef® ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined; do not overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and form each portion into a patty about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to ensure even cooking.

Cooking the Patties

  1. 3

    Heat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Make sure it’s hot before adding the patties.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip the patties. Place a slice of government cheese on each patty while the second side cooks for another 4-5 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 5

    Prepare the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill or skillet until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Add Toppings

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, layer the lettuce, tomato (sliced), onion (sliced), and pickles. Place one cheesy beef patty on top of the toppings, followed by the second patty. Drizzle Paul’s signature Wahl Sauce® over the top patty.

  3. 7

    Finish the Burger

Cover with the top half of the toasted bun. Gently press down to secure the layers.
