Method
Prepare the Beef Patties
- 1
Form the Patties
In a large bowl, combine 1 pound of Certified Angus Beef® ground beef, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of black pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape into patties, making them slightly larger than the burger buns.
- 2
Cook the Patties
Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Place the beef patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of provolone cheese on each patty to melt.
Prepare the Toppings

Sauté the Garlic
In a small saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium heat. Mince 2 cloves of garlic and sauté in the melted butter for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
