Beef Patties

Bun

Method

Beef Patties

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine the Certified Angus Beef® ground beef with salt and black pepper. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, ensuring they are slightly larger than the buns to allow for shrinkage during cooking.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place two slices of Swiss cheese on each patty to melt.

Toppings

  1. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a frying pan, cook the bacon strips over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the pan and place on paper towels to drain excess grease.

  2. 4

    Sauté the Mushrooms

In the same pan, add olive oil and heat over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are golden brown and tender.

  3. 5

    Prepare the Tomato Jam

If using store-bought tomato jam, simply set it aside. If making from scratch, cook down chopped tomatoes with sugar, vinegar, and spices in a saucepan until thickened.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each hamburger bun, spread a layer of tomato jam. Place the cheese-topped beef patty on top, followed by two strips of crispy bacon and a generous amount of sautéed mushrooms. Top with the other half of the bun.
