Burger Patty

Burger Assembly

Method

Burger Patty Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Use your hands to mix until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the meat mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a round patty, about 3/4-inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

Cooking the Patties

  1. 3

    Preheat Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and add a slice of cheddar cheese on top. Cook for another 3-4 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.

Burger Assembly

  1. 5

    Prepare Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half if not pre-sliced. You may toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster if desired.

  2. 6

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese, a slice of tomato, and pickles. Top with ketchup and mustard according to your taste, then cover with the top half of the bun.
