Cake Preparation

Melt Chocolate and Butter
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semisweet chocolate and unsalted butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until completely melted and smooth.
- 3
Whisk Eggs and Sugar
In a separate bowl, whisk together the large eggs, egg yolks, and granulated sugar until the mixture is pale and slightly thickened.
- 4
Combine Mixtures
Slowly pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, whisking continuously until well combined.
- 5
Add Remaining Ingredients
Stir in the all-purpose flour, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until just incorporated. Do not overmix.
- 6
Fill Ramekins
Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins, filling each about 3/4 full.
- 7
Bake
Place the ramekins on a baking tray and bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes, until the edges are set but the center is still soft.
- 8
Cool Slightly
Remove the ramekins from the oven and let them cool for about 1 minute.

Plate and Serve
Carefully run a knife around the edges of each ramekin to loosen the cake, then invert onto plates. Serve immediately with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and fresh berries on the side.
