Bread Preparation

Activate Yeast
In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until frothy.

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt.

Combine Ingredients
Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and pour in the activated yeast mixture and olive oil. Stir until a dough forms.

Knead Dough
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

First Rise
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Shape and Second Rise
Once risen, punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf or rolls. Place in a greased baking pan and let it rise again for 30 minutes.

Bake Bread
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the bread for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.

Prepare Roasted Red Pepper Dip
Blend 1 cup of roasted red peppers with 1-2 tsp of garlic and salt to taste until smooth.

Balsamic Reduction
In a small saucepan, simmer 1/2 cup of balsamic vinegar over medium heat until reduced by half. Let cool.

Combine Dips
Serve the dips in small bowls alongside the baked bread. Garnish the balsamic reduction with fresh basil.
