Preparing the Meat Filling

Cook the Ground Beef
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Break the meat apart with a spatula as it cooks.

Once the beef is browned, drain any excess fat. Stir in the ground cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Warm the Tortillas
In a dry skillet, warm the corn tortillas over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.

Place a spoonful of the meat filling in the center of each tortilla. Top with fresh salsa, sour cream, shredded lettuce, and shredded cheese as desired.
