Method

Preparing the Prawns

  1. 1

    Cook the Prawns

In a large pot of boiling salted water, add the fresh prawns and cook for 3-5 minutes, or until they turn pink and opaque. Remove from heat.

  2. 2

    Cool and Peel

Drain the prawns and place them in a bowl of ice water to cool. Once cooled, peel and devein the prawns, removing the shells and tails.

  3. 3

    Marinate

In a mixing bowl, combine the peeled prawns with lemon juice and salt. Toss gently and set aside to marinate for 15 minutes.

Making the Cocktail Sauce

  1. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a medium bowl, add mayonnaise, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, horseradish sauce, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 5

    Mix Well

Use a whisk or fork to mix the ingredients until smooth and well combined.

Assembling the Dish

  1. 6

    Prepare Serving Dish

Arrange the lettuce leaves on a serving platter as a bed for the prawns.

  2. 7

    Add Prawns

Place the marinated prawns on top of the lettuce leaves.

  3. 8

    Serve with Sauce

Serve the prawns with the cocktail sauce on the side. Garnish with lemon wedges.
