Method

Croutons

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bread

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the baguette or French bread into small cubes, about 1-inch in size.

  2. 2

    Season the Croutons

In a large bowl, toss the bread cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, and salt until evenly coated.

  3. 3

    Bake the Croutons

Spread the seasoned bread cubes on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, tossing halfway through.

Salad Assembly

  1. 4

    Prepare the Lettuce

Wash and dry the Romaine lettuce thoroughly. Tear it into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large salad bowl.

  2. 5

    Add the Dressing

Pour the Caesar dressing over the Romaine lettuce, and toss gently to coat the leaves evenly.

  3. 6

    Add the Cheese

Grate the Parmesan cheese and sprinkle it over the dressed Romaine lettuce. Toss again to combine.

  4. 7

    Add the Croutons

Add the freshly baked croutons on top of the salad and give it a final gentle toss.

  5. 8

    Serve

Serve immediately while the croutons are still warm and crispy.
