Cook the Fettuccine
In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the fettuccine according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Alfredo Sauce
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Add Cream and Cheese
Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.

Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta in the creamy sauce. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.

Serve
Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley and additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
