Stromboli Ingredients

Method

Stromboli Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filling

In a skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Add diced onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Sauté until softened. Add Italian sausage and cook until browned. Stir in pepperoni, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

  2. 2

    Roll Out Dough

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle about 12x16 inches.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Stromboli

Spread the sausage and pepperoni mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.

  4. 4

    Roll and Seal

Starting from one long side, carefully roll the dough into a log shape. Pinch the seams to seal tightly and tuck the ends under.

  5. 5

    Bake the Stromboli

Place the rolled Stromboli seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the top with beaten egg. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

  6. 6

    Serve

Allow the Stromboli to cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
