Add Garlic
Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.

Brown the Meat
Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef and ground pork. Cook until browned, breaking up the meat as it cooks.
- 4
Add Tomato Paste and Wine
Stir in the tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes. Then pour in the red wine and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
- 5
Add Canned Tomatoes and Milk
Add the crushed canned tomatoes, milk, bay leaves, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.
- 6
Simmer the Sauce
Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer. Reduce the heat to low and cover, letting it cook for at least 1 hour, stirring occasionally. The longer it simmers, the better the flavor.

Adjust Seasoning and Serve
Remove the bay leaves, taste, and adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed. Serve over pasta of your choice.
