Cheesecake Ingredients

Method

Cheesecake Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the crust

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted unsalted butter, and sugar. Mix well until all crumbs are coated. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.

  2. 2

    Bake the crust

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let it cool while preparing the filling.

  3. 3

    Make the cheesecake filling

In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth. Add granulated sugar and mix until well combined. Add sour cream, vanilla extract, and eggs (one at a time), mixing until smooth after each addition.

  4. 4

    Combine and pour

Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust in the springform pan, spreading it evenly.

  5. 5

    Bake the cheesecake

Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and crack the door, allowing the cheesecake to cool gradually for 1 hour.

  6. 6

    Chill and serve

After cooling, refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours, or overnight. Remove from the springform pan, slice, and serve chilled.
