Prepare the Meatball Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until thoroughly combined.

Form the Meatballs
Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. Place meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake the Meatballs
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Bake the meatballs for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through and browned.

Add the Tomatoes and Seasoning
Pour in the canned crushed tomatoes, and add dried oregano, dried basil, salt, black pepper, and sugar. Stir to combine.

Simmer the Sauce
Bring the sauce to a simmer and let it cook for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Boil the Water
In a large pot, bring 4 liters of water to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt to the boiling water.

Cook the Spaghetti
Add the spaghetti to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions, usually about 8-10 minutes, until al dente.

Drain the Spaghetti
Once cooked, drain the spaghetti in a colander and set aside.
Combine and Serve

Combine Meatballs and Sauce
Once the meatballs are cooked, add them to the marinara sauce, and gently stir to coat.

Serve the Dish
Serve the spaghetti on plates, topped with the meatballs and sauce. Optionally, garnish with additional grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley.
