Mushroom Preparation

Method

Mushroom Preparation

  1. 1

    Clean the Mushrooms

Gently wipe the Portabella mushrooms with a damp paper towel to remove any dirt. Remove the stems and set aside.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Mushrooms

In a bowl, mix together the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Brush the marinade over the mushrooms, ensuring they are well coated. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.

Stuffing (Optional)

  1. 3

    Prepare the Stuffing

In a bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, cooked spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, and Italian seasoning. Mix until well combined.

Cooking the Mushrooms

  1. 4

    Stuff the Mushrooms

If using the stuffing, fill each marinated Portabella mushroom cap with the stuffing mixture, pressing down gently to ensure it is packed in.

  2. 5

    Grill the Mushrooms

Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Place the stuffed or marinated mushrooms on the grill. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are tender and have nice grill marks.

  3. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Once cooked, remove the mushrooms from the grill and sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy warm!
