Prepare the Ingredients
Wash the fresh basil leaves thoroughly and pat them dry with a clean towel. Peel the garlic cloves.

Blend the Ingredients
In a food processor, combine the toasted pine nuts, walnuts, fresh basil leaves, and garlic cloves. Pulse several times until the mixture is coarsely chopped.

Add Olive Oil
While the food processor is running, slowly drizzle in the virgin olive oil until the mixture is smooth and well combined.

Incorporate Cheese and Seasoning
Add the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper to the mixture. Pulse again until everything is well blended. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
Serving

Serve the Pesto
Transfer the pesto sauce to a serving bowl or an airtight container. It can be served immediately with pasta, bread, or as a spread, or stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
