Preparation
- 1
Clean the Shrimp
Rinse the jumbo Gulf shrimp under cold running water to remove any debris. Pat them dry with paper towels.
- 2
Prepare the Marinade
In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until well combined.
- 3
Marinate the Shrimp
Place the cleaned shrimp in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Make sure the shrimp are evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Cooking
- 4
Heat the Pan
In a large skillet, heat over medium-high heat. Allow it to get hot before adding the shrimp.
- 5
Cook the Shrimp
Add the marinated shrimp to the hot skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and opaque. Be careful not to overcook them as they can become rubbery.
- 6
Serve
Once cooked, remove the shrimp from the skillet and serve immediately on top of your chosen entrée or as a standalone dish.
