Ice Cream Base Preparation

Mix Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Whisk until the sugar is fully dissolved and the mixture is well combined.

Chill the Mixture
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours, or until thoroughly chilled.

Churn the Ice Cream
Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency. This usually takes about 20-25 minutes.

Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until firm.

Wash and hull the fresh strawberries. Cut them into halves or quarters, depending on your preference.
