Fried Chicken

Marinate the Chicken
In a large bowl, soak the chicken pieces in buttermilk for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.

Prepare the Coating
In another bowl, mix flour, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Coat the Chicken
Remove chicken from buttermilk and coat it evenly in the flour mixture.

Fry the Chicken
Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry the chicken in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 12-15 minutes per batch.

Cook Macaroni
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook elbow macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Combine
Mix the cooked macaroni with the cheese sauce until well coated.
Collard Greens

Cook Collard Greens
Add chopped collard greens and broth, bringing to a simmer. Cook until greens are tender, about 30 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
Sorghum Chili Sauce

In a small bowl, combine sorghum syrup, chili powder, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth.
