Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Season the steak pieces with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Sear the Steak

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned steak and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  3. 3

    Cook the Mushrooms

In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and cook until they are browned and tender, about 5-7 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

  4. 4

    Deglaze the Pan

Pour in the Madeira wine, scraping the bottom of the skillet to deglaze. Bring to a simmer and allow it to reduce by half.

  5. 5

    Add Broth and Finish Sauce

Stir in the beef broth and continue to simmer for another 5 minutes. Add butter and stir until melted and combined.

  6. 6

    Combine and Serve

Return the seared steak to the skillet, spooning the mushroom sauce over the top. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
