Method

Cake Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Cake

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans. In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Add the softened butter and mix until crumbly. Add eggs, milk, and vanilla extract, and beat until smooth. Divide the batter between the prepared pans.

  2. 2

    Bake the Cake

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then turn them out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Vanilla Chantilly Preparation

  1. 3

    Whip the Cream

In a cold mixing bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream until it starts to thicken. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract and continue beating until soft peaks form.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Layer the Pudding

Once the cake has cooled, cut it into small cubes. In a large serving dish, layer cake cubes, sliced bananas, dulce de leche, and vanilla chantilly. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of chantilly on top.

  2. 5

    Chill and Serve

Refrigerate the assembled banana pudding for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld. Enjoy!
