Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). This will ensure that your Brussels sprouts roast evenly and become crispy.
- 2
Prepare the Brussels Sprouts
Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and remove any yellow or damaged outer leaves. Slice each sprout in half lengthwise for better roasting.
- 3
Mince Garlic
Peel and finely mince the garlic cloves. Set aside.
Cooking
- 4
Toss with Olive Oil and Seasonings
In a large mixing bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, black pepper, and balsamic vinegar. Toss until all the sprouts are evenly coated.
- 5
Spread on Baking Sheet
Transfer the seasoned Brussels sprouts to a baking sheet in a single layer. Make sure there is some space between each sprout to allow for even roasting.
- 6
Roast in Oven
Roast the Brussels sprouts in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside. Toss halfway through the roasting time to ensure they cook evenly.
- 7
Serve
Remove the Brussels sprouts from the oven and let them cool for a couple of minutes. Serve warm as a delicious side dish.
