Buns

Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the grass-fed ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Use your hands to gently mix until just combined; avoid overmixing to keep the patties tender.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about ¾ inch thick. Press a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing up while cooking.

Cook the Patties

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Pan

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes until hot.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 5

    Prepare the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Add Toppings

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, layer the lettuce leaves, tomato (sliced), red onion, and pickles. Place the cooked patty with melted cheese on top, then drizzle with ketchup and mustard to taste. Top with the other half of the bun.
