Preparation

1

Prepare the Marinade

In a medium bowl, combine brown sugar, maple syrup, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

2

Marinate the Bacon

Place the Canadian bacon in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the bacon, ensuring all pieces are well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.

Cooking

3

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

4

Sear the Bacon

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Remove the Canadian bacon from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Sear the bacon in the skillet for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.

5

Bake the Bacon

Transfer the seared Canadian bacon to a baking dish. Pour the remaining marinade over the top and add 1 cup of water to the bottom of the dish. Cover with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until heated through.

6

Serve

Remove from the oven, let it rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve warm. Enjoy your delicious Canadian bacon!
